Hardware\, such as barriers\, sign supports\, and work zone devices are commonly used to reduce the potential severity of crashes on the roadside. Knowing how\, when and where to install roadside hardware can be a challenge for transportation agencies. Furthermore\, maintenance and replacement of installed hardware with newer more advanced hardware adds to the challenge.

As demonstrated in the first webinar\, the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency (FTIA) is a BIM mature organization. They are continuously applying BIM practices and processes to streamline model-based project delivery and information exchanges across project lifecycles. In this webinar\, FTIA will present their information requirements\, contract documents as a model\, data exchanges between design\, construction\, and asset management\, and lastly their data platform\, Velho\, in which project information is stored. Furthermore\, FTIA will co-present with their contractor to provide more context on the data exchanges and collaboration efforts.
