SUMMARY:Webinar: Harnessing AI’s Power at Transportation Agencies
DESCRIPTION:Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is at the forefront of using artificial intelligence to transform transportation. While embracing AI innovation\, the agency is also identifying and managing its risks.\nTxDOT recently developed an AI strategic plan outlining 230 potential AI-use cases that will guide the department over the next three years. AI is revolutionizing how the department monitors and manages traffic\, detects incidents in real time\, and streamlines its work. AI is also enhancing decision-making regarding operations and maintenance. \nThis webinar will feature TxDOT’s Chief Information Officer and its Director of Strategy and Innovation. They will discuss the opportunities that AI unlocks and the critical issues they are addressing\, such as technology infrastructure\, data quality\, security\, and data privacy. \nClick here to register. https://enotrans.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_necaKjhxSyiGGDJyokNdiw

SUMMARY:2026 World Cup Mobility Strategies: Travel Demand Management
DESCRIPTION:This webinar\, hosted jointly with the Association Commuter Transportation\, will take a close look at the mobility strategies for the 2026 FIFA World Cup\, with a focus on travel demand management. Mobility planning and transportation operations are essential to holding a successful large-scale planned special event. This is true for both the attendees and organizers as well as for the local population whose mobility needs often remain unchanged over the course of the event. And\, from now until 2028\, the United States will be hosting three major international events: the FIFA Club World Cup this summer\, the 2026 World Cup\, and the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles\, CA. Experts in travel demand management and mobility and operations will share best practices and lessons learned for planned special events and how to safely and efficiently move people to enjoy some of the world’s great spectacles.\nClick here to register. https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_LCR9Y80WRQ25s99KVgtWtg#/registration

SUMMARY:Pricing and Repricing: Leveraging pricing signals to achieve policy outcomes
DESCRIPTION:Pricing is one of the most impactful actions in meeting transportation policy outcomes. If pricing is implemented as a per mile basis\, all vehicles pay the same rates and travelers can choose to drive less and save money with associated health\, safety\, and congestion benefits. Additionally\, while many pricing policies impose new costs with the goal to fill revenue gaps\, existing driving costs can also be “repriced” by converting fixed costs to variable costs. Repricing policies convert fixed costs such as insurance premiums\, vehicle taxes\, and registration fees to variable costs by charging them on a per mile basis.\nClick here to register. https://harvard.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_tB7T2w35RWWj4gsp16O-kg#/registration
