The objective of this FHWA-sponsored webinar is to explore emerging uses of UAS to support traffic management functions. UASs are being increasingly used by DOTs nationwide to perform various traffic management functions including enhancing traffic counts and classification, incident detection and monitoring, fixed site performance monitoring (e.g., intersections), “hot spot” traffic surveillance, enhancing traffic management center functions, etc. In this webinar, some example applications of UAS from some of these agencies will be presented.
