Please join us for our January meeting of the Goods Movement Task Force. This meeting will include a review of regional freight and development activity from 2020 and an important, interactive conversation with PennDOT in support of their statewide Freight Movement Plan update.

Agenda

1. Welcome and Call to Order

Task Force members and friends will be welcomed. Highlights from the previous freight advisory committee meeting on October 7, 2020 will be offered for approval.

2. Greater Philadelphia Freight Activity in 2020

DVRPC staff will provide a review of key freight and industrial real estate trends from 2020 as well as highlight key projects and initiatives from the year.

3. Pennsylvania Freight Movement Plan

Pennsylvania DOT is preparing a statewide Freight Movement Plan as required by the Federal Highway Administration, with Michael Baker International as the prime consultant for this priority project. Stakeholder engagement is essential and a high priority for plan development and implementation. The Pennsylvania DOT and Michael Baker International team will present an overview of the plan process and updates for the ongoing 2045 Pennsylvania Comprehensive Freight Movement Plan followed by an interactive conversation about the goals and initial findings of the plan. Perspectives from the task force on freight movement, in both the DVRPC region and the state, will help to inform the plan development.

4. Two-minute Reports

Subcommittee chairs and Task Force members and friends are invited to offer updates on the activities of their companies and agencies.
