FEMA Flood Mapping with 2D Modeling

The web meeting has been rescheduled for January 13th, from noon to 2:00 pm Eastern Time, Please note the two-hour scheduled time. Scott Hogan will present the latest information available on FEMA floodplain and floodway mapping with 2D hydraulic modeling. The presentation will include an overview and discussion of the following:

* Floodway mapping with 1D vs. 2D model results

* Limitations of 1D floodway analyses

* Current FEMA’s guidance and standards for 2D modeling

* Evaluating surcharges using 2D modeling results

* Evaluating a no-rise scenario with 2D modeling

* Developing 2D informed 1D models when necessary
