Analytics Tools to Improve Operational Planning

The Federal Highway Administration’s Every Day Counts Round 6 (FHWA EDC-6) Crowdsourcing for Advancing Operations Innovation brings you the Adventures in Crowdsourcing webinar series to highlight innovative applications of crowdsourced data and to share crowdsourcing building blocks that will help agencies garner the greatest value from crowdsourced data.
This webinar will feature two agencies and their use of analytics tools to process vehicle probe data for operational use and to better plan for operations. Additional details forthcoming.

Summary:

Archived crowdsourced data, particularly when integrated with traditional transportation data, can help agencies better understand and plan for operations. This webinar features two agencies and their use of analytics tools to leverage crowdsourced data and better plan for operations:

* District of Columbia (DC) Metropolitan Region’s Use of RITIS and Connected Car Data – Taran Hutchinson, Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination (MATOC), the information sharing, planning, and coordinating program among the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, and the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia Departments of Transportation.
* South Carolina’s Use of ClearGuide® – Jennifer Oswalt Rhoades, South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT).
