The Transportation Research and Connectivity Pooled Fund Study will be sponsoring webinars on Section 508/Accessibility for research reports on September 17 (12:00 PM – 1:30 PM Eastern) and October 22 (12:00 PM- 1:30 PM Eastern).
These trainings will be geared towards ensuring final research reports (both Word and PDF) meet federal requirements. If you’ve ever had a question about Section 508/Accessibility, or how to implement it for your organization’s reports, these will be the webinars to attend. We encourage librarians, research managers, PIs, student workers, and anyone involved in the remediation of Word or PDF documents to attend. Geared toward researchers new to Section 508 accessibility requirements, this session will help authors prepare a compliant report in Microsoft Word, and will tackle the most common errors that occur when documents are converted from Word to PDF format.

The Transportation Research and Connectivity pooled fund study, TPF-5(442), is a consortium of state departments of transportation (DOTs) and other partners that supports the coordinated development of transportation libraries as well as research organizations without dedicated libraries
