Resilient Transportation Infrastructure: Flood Resilience Resources

This webinar provides an overview of several flood resilience planning tools and approaches for integration into transportation projects. Participants will learn about DOT’s interim guidance on the Federal Flood Risk Management Standard (FFRMS) and state and local resilience programs to protect roads, highways, bridges, and communities from extreme precipitation and flooding impacts.
Speakers include U.S. DOT Deputy Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy Ann Shikany, and leaders from the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, U.S. DOT Climate Change Center, Vermont Agency of Transportation, Minnesota Department of Transportation, Yellowstone National Park, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The USDOT Climate Change Center is hosting the Fall/Winter 2024 webinar series on climate change and transportation topics, ranging from greenhouse gas reduction strategies to climate resilience activities to research and technology advancements.
