The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Road Weather Management (RWM) Program 2024 Road Weather Management Stakeholder Meeting is being conducted as a virtual event. This online event will bring together transportation leaders, peers, and practitioners to discuss RWM research, strategies, and insights from around the country through interactive presentations and panel discussions.
The event will be two half days from 1-4 p.m. ET with a high-level agenda including:
• Technology transfer and national stakeholder activities
• Updates and innovations focusing on winter weather, tornadoes, non-winter weather events, and emergency operations
• Weather Data Environment (WxDE) and Managing Disruptions to Operations Data Exchange (MDODE)
• Long-term strategic planning for road weather: future research needs, funding opportunities, and considerations
