Part Two: Hitting the Road with More CAV Programs Including the Smart Mobility Testing Ground (SMTG) in New Brunswick
ITSNJ and the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Met Section are pleased to bring you the second part of a 2-part webinar series as an introduction to the successful Connected and Automated Vechicle (CAV) initiatives that have been developing around the state.

Part Two, on May 19th, will feature two presentations. In the first presentation Rutgers CAIT and Middlesex County will present the current planning, design, and instrumentation effort for the New Brunswick Innovation Hub Smart Mobility Testing Ground. The second presentation will be on a cloud-based next generation 511 system for alerting connected travelers of geo-located near-real-time hazards (virtual DMS). The app is integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to reduce driver distraction and maximize fleet penetration without additional OBUs and RSUs.
