The 109th meeting of the Information Resources Exchange Group hosted by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) on Wednesday, December 12th. There will be three presentations on the following topics:
“Shared Transportation Services Mobile Application Data Support Project” Grant Ervin, Project Manager – GIT, and Stephen Holt, GIT Associate II of Michael Baker International http://www.mbakerintl.com/ will discuss how Michael Baker International, in conjunction with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) developed a data model and workflow for creating, publishing and maintaining a General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS).

“Mapping with Sample Error in Mind” Addison Larson, Planning Data Scientist of DVRPC https://www.dvrpc.org/ will demonstrate DVRPC’s Map Reliability Calculator, an interactive online tool developed in R Shiny that computes the expected classification error of Census estimates and more.

“CARTO” Andrew Thompson, Solutions Engineer of CARTO https://carto.com/ will give some highlights about some of the great new data viz tools like CARTO VL and Airship, that CARTO has recently released.
