The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Center for Local-aid Support will be hosting an Innovation Exchange webinar on “Pavement Preservation and Road Edge Stabilization” on April 4th. The goal of the Innovation Exchange webinars is to allow participants to (1) gain best practices of innovation deployment from subject matter experts (2) have a venue to discuss transportation related ideas and issues with other transportation partners around the country, and (3) learn and share successful practices.
The session will feature presenters from the National Park Service (NPS), discussing the tools needed to preserve pavement, such as ultra-thin lift, micro surfacing, slurry seals, and chip seals, as well as solutions for pavement edge stabilization demonstrated through the Coordinated Transportation Implementation Program (CTIP).
