This workshop, co-sponsored by FHWA Resource Center & the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, will cover benefits, guidance and successful examples of roundabouts.
Roundabouts are a proven strategy for improving the safety and operations of intersections. Modern and compact, these traffic calming countermeasures place responsibility for traffic management upon motorist cooperation, thereby reducing the frequency and severity of intersection crashes.

This workshop will explore the benefits of roundabouts in different settings, highlight successful examples in the NJTPA region and across the United States, offer guidance on generating community and stakeholder support and teach you how to plan and develop a roundabout project in your community.
