About the Speaker

Chris Urmson https://aurora.tech/ has 19 years of experience developing self-driving and robotics technology. He helped found, led, and later served as Chief Technology Officer for self-driving cars at Alphabet. Before that, Chris was a faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University, and helped win the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge. He has a PhD in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon.
